Rita Abodoh: UG Medical Students Donate GHC20,000 Towards Her Surgery

The University of Ghana Medical Students Association has donated GHC20,000 to Rita Abodoh towards her surgery.

Rita is a fourth-year medical student at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), who has been diagnosed with Osteosarcoma – a type of bone cancer.

The donation from the University of Ghana Medical Students Association, comes after a social media campaign was started to raise funds to enable Rita undergo treatment.

The amount needed for her surgery is estimated at €150,000, which is approximately GHC1,045,545.
