Tonight, President Akufo-Addo will be addressing the country.
This address, which will be his 23rd COVID-19 update address, comes as the country is witnessing increasing cases of COVID-19 infections.
The last time he addressed the country, he threatened to impose some form of lockdown measures should the cases continue to rise.
The cases have indeed risen and a lot of people have also lost their lives to COVID-19 related complications.
The Ghana Medical Association has, for some time now, been calling for a ban on social gathering events such as funerals, parties, church activities, among others.
This new wave of infections comes as the country has also confirmed cases of the South African and UK variance which are known to be more infectious and more severe on young patients.
