We mentioned months ago that the Ghanaian bread brand A1, is entering the American market.
Well, now it has and it is available on shelves in American grocery shops.
The company that started operating in Ghana took advantage of the Select USA initiative to enter the American market.
Select USA, is an American government program designed to help foreign products enter into the American market.
When A1 bread became available to American shoppers, the Ghanaian Ambassador to the United States Dr Baffour Adjei Bawuah, visited an A1 bread point of sale in an American grocery shop.
“We are happy to announce that A1, an indigenous Ghanaian bread-making company has expanded its operations to the United States,” the Ghanaian embassy in America wrote on Facebook.
“As an Embassy, we are particularly proud of this emerging Ghanaian story and Godfred Obeng Boateng, the young CEO leading this initiative,” it said.
A1 bread is producing from a $3 million production site in America.
