A lot of us have nights where we’re unable to give in to sleep. On those nights, we end up scrolling through social media, watching movies or finding some other immersive way to pass the night. However, night like those pass, and morning comes. Here are some tips for staying productive throughout the day when you have had a sleepless night.
Get Your Heart Rate Up
A great way to start your day off after a sleepless night is to get in some exercise. When you exercise you release get a release of the feel-good hormone that energizes you to get a good start on your work.
Choose 3 Main Tasks
When you’ve not had a full night’s rest, every second that you’re up feels like it’s counting down till you crash. If you want to be productive, find your 3 most challenging tasks for day and get them out of the way first.
Drink Cold Water
Staying hydrated is a must no matter how tired you are. And cold water, especially, is great when you haven’t had much sleep because it awakens the body and enhances your internal energy.
Don’t Take Too Much Caffeine
When you haven’t had your full set of hours of sleep, it can be tempting to rely on caffeine to get you through your day. However, taking too much caffeine can have the opposite effect. It can cause you to get jittery and lose focus on what you’re trying to accomplish.
