State prosecutors, yesterday, arriagned Bulldog in an Accra Circuit Court for allegedly threatening President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo in a video recording.
Bulldog is said to have said on a United Television (UTV) programme that, “the President will not finish his tenure and that he will run away if he failed to pay customers of Menzgold their deposits.”
He was picked up by officers of the National Intelligence Bureau formerly known as Bureau of National Investigations (BNI).
He pleaded not guilty to the charge of “offensive conduct, conducive to breaches of the peace.”
The court presided over by Mrs. Evelyn Asamoah admitted him to a bail in the sum of GH¢70,000.00 with three sureties, two of whom are to be public servants.
Bulldog was also ordered to be reporting to the Police every Monday and the Police were directed to comply with the directives on disclosures.
His case has been adjourned to January 28.
After he was released on bail, Bulldog reportedly told Okay FM that his intention was never to threaten the president but only meant to make a case for aggrieved customers of the collapsed gold dealership firm, Menzgold.
Bulldog then apologized for his comment but intimated again that he did not mean ill for the president.
