Nigerian musician, Davido is once again paying tribute to his mother Veronica Imade Adeleke who passed away in 2002.

He took to Twitter to share a throwback photo of himself and his mother alongside a photo of the touching message he wrote in her Book of Condolence.

“Sweet mother,” he started.

“How much I love you,” he added.

“Despite my stubbornness, you are there to correct me. I miss your warm hugs, lovely kisses and your lovely smile,” he said before telling his mother that “you are a rare mother. You are one in a million.”

Then he promised her that she “will always be on my mind” before he signed off “your loving son, Adeleke David.”

Davido’s two daughters share his mother’s names.

His first Hailey has Veronica as her middle name and his second Aurora has Imade as her second name.

Davido’s mother was a lecturer at Babcock University, the same university he graduated from in 2015 with a Degree in Music.
