Ghana’s Active COVID-19 Cases Rise To 1,330

After all the Christmas and New Year jamming, COVID-19 is also now giving us our report card.

According to the Ghana Health Service, the active COVID-19 cases are now 1,330.

Most of this is in the Greater Accra Region, which has recorded 705 active cases.

The region with the second-highest active COVID-19 cases is the Central Region which has 58 cases.

338 people have died so far from COVID-19 related complications.

During the festive season, there were unconfirmed reports of COVID-19 clusters in some of the popular clubs and beaches in Accra, however, most people ignored the warnings.

Meanwhile, the government is still advocating for the wearing of face masks, social distancing and maintaining personal hygiene.
