FDA Warns Against The Purchase Of Unapproved COVID-19 Vaccine

The Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) has warned the general public to desist from purchasing COVID-19 vaccines in Ghana.

According to the authority, it has not approved any COVID-19 vaccine for use in the country.

In a statement, the FDA said certain business people are peddling information on the sale of COVID-19 vaccines to hospitals and other health facilities.

The FDA said people caught dealing in unapproved COVID-19 vaccines will be prosecuted and fined GHS 180,000 or imprisoned for a maximum of 25 years or both.

Remember, no COVID-19 vaccine has been approved for use in Ghana.

As a result, anyone giving you any purported COVID-19 vaccine in Ghana is ostensibly giving you an illegal drug.
