“Virtually Not Virtual”: Tweeps React To KNUST’s “Virtual” Orientation

Ghanaians on Twitter have expressed shock at an orientation held by the management of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science Technology (KNUST) for its first-year students.

The first-year students of KNUST reported on campus on January 9, 2021, and an orientation about the university was held for them today, Monday, January 11, 2021.

However, the description given to the orientation has got a lot of Ghanaians on Twitter talking.

The official Twitter account of KNUST Live posted a photo of first-year students at the orientation with the caption “Virtual orientation happening now at the various colleges.”

The picture shows a large number of students gathered in a room without observing social distancing protocols as they watched school authorities address them virtually.

According to Tweeps, it did not make sense for the management of the university put a large number of students in a room for them to watch school authorities of the university address them virtually.
