Say what you want about Tats but I think they’re really cool. If you want to get one, you need to consider these few things.
1. Visibility
It’s important to figure out where exactly the tattoo will be taking into consideration, the type of workplace you’ll find yourself at. Most of the older Ghanaians who own businesses or are in leadership positions will usually not hire people with visible tattoos.
2. The Artist
I don’t know about you but if I’m going to get something as permanent as a tattoo on my body, I’m going to have to make sure I’ve seen the artist’s works and make sure he’s good. Also, you need to be sure about how they clean their tools.
3. The pain
You need to psych yourself up for the pain. Apparently, it feels like constant cat scratch. After about 15 minutes, your adrenaline will start kicking in and help manage some (emphasis on “some”) of the pain.
4. If It’s In A Foreign Language
You need to cross check and be sure that whatever you’re going to tattoo on your body permanently is a character that actually exists and means what you want it to mean. Don’t go and tattoo something that means something entirely different and will make you look like a fool at the end.
