Nigerian fashion blogger, Temi Otedola had her first movie role in “Citation”.
It followed her character’s journey for fighting for justice after a sexual encounter with her university lecturer.
That role has now made her an award-winning actress.
She won the Best Actress (African Collaboration) award at the 2020 Ghana Movie Awards.
“I just heard I won the Ghana Movie Award in the category of Best Actress (African Collaboration) for my role in Citation!!! So so grateful! Thank you for this honour,” she tweeted.
“Citation” trended for several days on Netflix when it was released.
