The staff of the Electoral Commission are going away for a very long time after wrapping up the 2020 General Election.
According to the commission, all its staff will go on break for Christmas and New Year.
The break starts tomorrow, December 23 and ends on Tuesday, January 19, which is just four days shy of becoming a month-long vacation.
This break comes as the opposition NDC is still raising concerns about the conduct of the presidential elections.
An attempt by the NDC Parliamentarians to submit a petition requesting for an independent audit of the elections results, was blocked by police officers near the Ridge roundabout.
By the time the EC resumes from its vacation, President Akufo-Addo would have been sworn into office for his second term.
