2080 People Died From Road Accidents Between January And October 2020

Though the COVID-19 pandemic somewhat reduced the number of people and the number of times people traveled, road fatalities were still recorded in 2020.

According to data from the National Road Safety Commission, about 2,080 people lost their lives from road accidents in the first 10 months of 2020.

Between the period of January and October, 12,096 crashes were recorded in total that involved 20,408 vehicles.

However, 12,380 people sustained various degrees of injuries.

Ahead of the Christmas holidays, the head of the NRSC, May Obiri-Yeboah is urging motorists and pedestrians to be mindful on the road.
