The Electoral Commission has debunked the allegations that one of its officials has been arrested.

Social Media posts have been claiming that one of its officials in Somanya has been arrested for allegedly reducing John Mahama’s votes by more than 3,000 votes.

A statement from the EC says those social media posts are “false” and that the “public is therefore urged to disregard this fake news.”

There is a lot of fake news on social media, be sure before you share or forward anything.
