
Farouk Aliu Mahama has won the Yendi parliamentary seat on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
He is the son of late former Vice President of Ghana, Alhaji Aliu Mahama.
Farouk Mahama won the seat with 40,624 votes, beating his main opponent, Alhassan Abdul Fatawu of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) who polled 24,755 votes.
