Police Starts Investigation Into Allegations Of Stuffed Ballot Boxes In Northern Region

The Ghana Police Service has asked Ghanaians to remain calm as they launch an investigation into alleged issues of stuffed ballot boxes in the Northern Region.

The police said the reports of the stuffed ballot boxes have not been confirmed.

This comes as people claim to have seen ballot boxes in the region stuffed with ballot papers.

Polls officially opened about an hour ago and most ballot boxes are expected to have very small number of votes cast.

The Ghana Police Service said they will provide an update on their investigations.
