Stormzy Signs Record Deal With Universal Music Group’s 0207 Def Jam

Last week, Universal Music launched a new music imprint called the 0207 Def Jam.

Days later, they have announced their first singee and its none other than the UK-based Ghanaian musician Stormzy.

With this new deal, Stormzy is leaving Atlantic Records and joining this newly formed music baby by Universal Music.

The 0207 Def Jam is a new Universal Music UK label established by the Boateng brothers, Alec and Alex, who have been installed as co-presidents of the frontline label, which is the UK home of Def Jam Recordings, Metro UK reports.

Universal welcomed Stormzy to their family with a tweet and photo of Stormzy with his manager Tobe Onwuka, Alec and Alex Boateng, Sir Lucian Grainge, the chairman and CEO of Universal Music Group and Universal’s UK chairman and CEO David Joseph.
