Young Ghanaian artiste, D Jay is out with a new song, Wamba. The 19 year old’s talent is undisputed.
After appealing to fans’ emotions earlier this year with Bo Norr, an inspirational song about the hustle and grind of a young hustler, he’s out with a jam.
Wamba is a trap song where D Jay sings about making it in life and making money. He describes it as a song about “friendship and celebrating the bond between brothers who aren’t blood-related but with a common goal of making money and having the best things in life.”
The song is an earnest prayer that’s hopeful and well… a jam. You’re allowed a few minutes on the intro to go ‘worship mode’ as he croons the chorus, right before the beat drops and you feel the urge to bop your head or jump to the rhythm. Whichever works for you, Wamba is full of energy that’d work well on a stage once we get our hands on potent COVID-19 vaccines.
