Amida Brimah has signed a contract with the Indiana Pacers, according to Chris Haynes (NBA Insider for Yahoo Sports).

Brimah was signed to an Exhibit 10 contract with the Pacers last season before being waived after he tore his ACL.

Signing for the Indiana Pacers in 2019 made Amida the second Ghanaian-born player to join an NBA team after Ben Bentil who was drafted 51st overall pick by the Boston Celtics in 2016 NBA draft.

The 26-year-old won the NCAA championship with the UCONN Huskies in 2014 and the G-League title with the Austin Spurs in 2018.

Brimah averaged 2.8 blocks and 7.8 rebounds per game in his G-League career. He was also named on the G-League’s All Defensive First Team twice.
