The lockdown, experienced worldwide during the initial phase of the COVID-19 pandemic was an unusual and scary period. Lots of people found avenues to let out their anxiety and fears and for Tripcy and Mega EJ; it was during that period that they realized it was finally time to work together.

Prince Selorm Gayome who goes by the stage name Tripcy and Johnson Elikem Kondobrey known as Mega EJ have known each other since their time in Kpando Senior High School in the Volta Region where they both discovered music as a potential career path. With 10 years under their belt, making music and dropping singles on their own, the two never really entertained the thought of actually making music together until the lockdown period.
