Today marks 10 years since Nicki Minaj released her debut studio album, Pink Friday. Ugh, those were good times.

Nicki Minaj was on fire and personally, I love the earlier versions of her career because those were crazy times. Pink Friday was the album that certified Nicki Minaj as the Queen of HipHop. Arguably, the album had a number of pop influences but we can all agree Nicki was the only one standing out amongst every rapper, both male and female in the early 2000s. She was an icon even before she dropped her debut album and of course, Lil Wayne’s Young Money backing her made her an incredible force.

Personally I was obsessed with her alter egos which is why Roman Reloaded is my favourite album, right next to Pink Friday.

I remember being in High School when this album dropped and so…to remember and celebrate Nicki’s iconic debut album, these are some of the Top songs on the project that everyone definitely knows and loves.

Did It On Em

Loved Nicki on this one. The braggadocio popped out and said “shut up everyone! The Queen is here!”

Fly ft Rihanna

Barbie went off on this with the vocals and Rihanna matched up perfectly. The lyrics on this song practically lay out Nicki’s game plan: she’s here to kill the game and soar above everyone else. She succeeded didn’t she?

Your Love

Honestly, High School wasn’t complete with this song!!! This was one of the several number 1 hits Nicki had off the Pink Friday album.

Moments for life ft Drake

Best intro on the whole album and the Drake Nicki chemistry at the time was just hopelessly sweet.

Super Bass

Another one of her biggest number one songs. Super Bass went viral and was everyone’s favourite celebrity’s favourite song and became the highest-charting rap hit by a solo female since Missy Elliott’s “Work It”

Right Thru Me

A true toxic tune for every toxic relationship and we sang it with all of our hearts as lovelorn teens in High School. Right?

These were the hits but you and I know that Roman’s Revenge, Blazin, Dear Old Nicki and I’m The Best were the hardest songs on the project.
