The National Democratic Congress held a vigil in honour of the late Former President Jerry John Rawlings

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) held a vigil in honour of its founder, the late Former President of Ghana, Jerry John Rawlings.

The vigil took place at the Obra Spot at the Kwame Nkrumah Interchange in Accra on Sunday night [November 15, 2020].

In attendance was the flagbearer of the NDC, John Dramani Mahama, and his wife, Lordina Mahama.

Also in attendance was the running-mate of the NDC’s flagbearer, Professor Naana Jane Opoku Agyemang, other party dignitaries, and some members of the Diplomatic Corps.

Two of the late Former President’s children – Zanetor Agyemang-Rawlings and Kimathi Rawlings – also graced the event.

The solemn event started at about 5 pm and ended at 12 midnight.

Former President Jerry John Rawlings passed away on Thursday, November 12, 2020, at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital after a short illness.
