COVID-19 protocols revised for passengers travelling to Ghana

A Lady receiving instructions

The Management of the Kotoka International Airport has renewed its COVID-19 protocols.

Though many were hoping the review will come with the reduction in the GHS 872 ($150) cost of the COVID-19 test at the airport, the management rather reviewed the payment terms.

According to the new guidelines, passengers must pay the GHS 872 cost of COVID-19 test online before boarding their flight to Ghana.

Passengers should visit https://myfrontierhealthcare.com/Home/Ghana to make the payment even before boarding the flight.

The management also directed airlines to request for the proof of payment or receipt before allowing passengers onto their Kotoka bound planes.

The airlines will be fined GHS 3,500 for each passenger to transport to Kotoka who has not paid the said amount or does not have the capacity to pay at the airport.

In the case of non-Ghanaian passengers, they will be refused entry and returned to their departure airport at the cost of the airline.

For Ghanaian passengers, they will be subjected to a 14-day quarantine at the cost of the passenger.

Stay safe, COVID-19 is still dangerous.
