Fatau Dauda To Replace Suspended Ofori For Sudan Clash

Legon Cities goalkeeper Fatau Dauda has been called up to replace Richard Ofori for the trip to Sudan.

The Orlando Pirates goalkeeper picked up his second yellow card in the qualifiers on Thursday against Sudan at the Cape Coast stadium ruling him out of the 2nd leg in Khartoum.

Fatau thus gets the nod to travel with the team for the reverse fixture scheduled for Omdurman, Sudan on Tuesday, November 17, 2020.

On Thursday 12th November, 2020, Andre Ayew’s brace handed Ghana a 2-0 win over Sudan at the Cape Coast Stadium.

Ayew scored from a superb free kick in the 24th minute.

The Black Stars however dominated but barely created decent opportunities in the first half.

Samuel Owusu could have doubled Ghana’s lead after receiving a fine through pass from Tariq Fosu only to shoot at the Sudanese goalkeeper.

The Black Stars departed Accra on Sunday afternoon for Sudan.
