The family of the late Former President Jerry John Rawlings have requested the public to respect their privacy as they mourn his death.
This is according to a statement signed by Zanetor Agyeman-Rawlings – one of the daughters of the late Former President.
The family confirmed the reports that Mr Rawlings died on Thursday morning [November 12, 2020] after a short illness.
“It is with deep sadness that the family of His Excellency Jerry John Rawlings (Rtd), informs the public that the former President of the Republic, passed away on Thursday morning after a short illness.”
“The family requests privacy at this difficult moment.”
The family also stated that details of funeral arrangements will be announced in due course.
