7 Cliché Lines People Use To Dump Others

It’s just plain hurtful if you use any of these lines to breakup with someone. It just shows that your intentions haven’t been genuine for a while and you can’t even be personal with your breakup.

A breakup isn’t the time to talk about your partner’s character flaws or play the blame game.

Here are some cliche lines people use when breaking up.

1. “It’s not you, it’s me”

The worse thing about this line is that it’s usually not true. You just want to get out from confronting your partner and it’s not fair. They need to know why the relationship isn’t working.

2. “I need space”

Translation: They just want to be as far away from you as possible. They are not interested in the relationship anymore.

3. “I don’t think I’m ready for a relationship”

It’s just awful to drag someone along when you know from the start that you didn’t want to be in a relationship but then again, the people who usually use this line just want an easy way out.

4. “We’re both looking for different things”

They’re just not into the relationship anymore and they haven’t got the balls to say it as it is.

5. “I just think we should start seeing other people”

Translation: They have already started cheating on you and they don’t want to feel bad about it anymore.

6. “I’m not good enough for you”

These ones have already cheated on you and they don’t know how to tell you.

7. “I don’t want to hold you back”

But have they complained? Have they said you’re holding them back?

I know we have left a lot out. Share the ones you know with us in the comments section.
