We all get nervous in certain situations. However, when it comes to introverts, that panic can be crippling at times. And in most cases, things that more extroverted people would consider trivial can make an introvert just want to fast forward to the part after. Of course, conscious effort and awareness can help an introvert overcome some of these things. However, even then…

Here are some of the silliest things that make an introvert panic.

Public Speaking

Honestly, put ‘public’ in front of anything and you can make an introvert panic. Public speaking though, comes with it’s own special blend of fear and panic. No matter how intelligent you are, or how prepared you are to speak about something, when the spotlight hits things just started going wrong with your biology. Personally, I don’t know how effective picturing everybody naked is going to be for you, but you can try it and see how if it works.

Asking For Our Money Back

Your friend is broke and he/she asks you to pass them some cash. Sure, that’s fine. But it’s a loan, so you definitely want that back. However, when it gets to the time to ask for your money back, it begins to seem like the most uncomfortable conversation that could ever be had in the world. It’s your own money too. When you finally do bring it up and you get an excuse, asking a second time around feels even worse.

Getting Feedback For Something That We’ve Worked On

Whether it’s a creative project, or even something more academic/professional, getting feedback can be a jarring experience. Anything that someone says about your work can feel like a personal attack. Someone tells you that you left a punctuation here, and all you can hear is ‘You don’t know how to use punctuation because your life has no punctuation.’ What does that even mean?
