Wentworth Miller, who plays Michael Scofield in the hit series Prison Break, is walking away from his career-making role.
Wentworth was loved by fans in the hit series about brothers escaping from prison and fighting for their survival.
The actor took to Instagram to tell his fans that he will not be part of the much talked about upcoming Season 6 of the series.
“I just don’t want to play straight characters. Their stories have been told (and told),” the actor said in the Instagram post of a plain white photo.
Miller, who came out as a gay man in 2013, said he would not be involved with the series anymore.
“No more Michael. If you were a fan of the show, hoping for additional seasons… I understand this is disappointing,” he wrote on Instagram.
On the other hand, Dominic Purcell, who plays Wentworth’s brother Lincoln Burrows, has also not yet confirmed when filming for the 6th season will begin.
However, Dominic has also been posting some cryptic messages on his social media.
This included a post revealed on September 22 about how he was currently in Vancouver quarantining, which is where Prison Break is usually filmed.
Fans are also still waiting on FOX’s official confirmation ahead of the show’s much-anticipated return.
