Fans of Asamoah Gyan and Legon Cities will have to wait a little longer before they see the former captain of the Ghana Black Stars play for the club in a competitive match.
Asamoah Gyan, will miss the team’s opening match in the Ghana Premier league against Berekum Chelsea due to injury, according to Citi Sports.
Legon Cities is due to start its campaign for the new Ghana Premier League this Saturday, November 14 at 6 pm and it was marked as Gyan’s debut for his new club.
However, the injury report means the debut will be pushed back to an unspecified time.
“We are working to get him fit because it is very important when he comes back, he comes back in good shape,” the head coach of Legon Cities Goran Barjaktarevic is quoted to have said.
