Masie Blu Connects With Her Roots With New Song “Fountainhead”

Masie Blu

African-American Artist Masie Blu connects with her roots to give us this new jam “FountainHead.” Known for her uplifting and spiritual music, Masie Blu’s new song is no different from her style. In Masie’s own words, “The journey of bringing this release to you all has taken courage, strength, creativity, patience, and humility.”

The vocals on this tune is soothing going perfectly with the visuals.

In a short conversation with Masie Blu about the inspiration behind the song, she stated, This song, I actually wrote about one year before ever visiting Ghana but Africa was my inspiration. The motherland and my mother both inspired me to write this song: this song is about gaining wisdom from the “source”. The song was co-produced by a Nigerian-American musician Chef Lanre and Don Hulio.

During her visit to Ghana earlier this year, Masie Blu spent most of her time meeting and creating with Ghanaian creatives. This gave her the opportunity to shoot the video for “Fountainheads.” The video was produced by a Ghanaian media team Yaw Freeman and Sylvester M. Aguzey.

Speaking about working with Ghanaian creatives for the first time, Masie Blu expressed her excitement saying, “The process of working with creatives during this creation was amazing. This video was my first time working with any production in Ghana so it took me faith, courage and trust to give it a try. We all worked amazingly together and enjoyed are 2 days of shooting this visual. I hope people of the African diaspora all enjoy this one!
