The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has cautioned WASSCE candidates who are awaiting their results to be “wary of websites announcing the release of the results and persons who promise to upgrade results for a fee.”

This warning from WAEC follows reports that it has released the 2020 WASSCE results.

According to a statement signed by Agnes Teye-Cudjoe, the Public Affairs Head of WAEC, “these are activities of fraudsters and all stakeholders are hereby alerted accordingly.”

WAEC also urged all institutions to always authenticate results presented to them.

The statement, however, indicated that co-ordination and marking exercises have been completed and processing of results as well as other post-examination activities are ongoing.
