Did Sarkodie Just Endorse Prez Akufo-Addo With His “Happy Day” Song Featuring Kuami Eugene?

President Akufo-Addo and Sarkodie

It is just a little over a month to the December 7, general elections.

President Akufo-Addo is seeking reelection while former President John Mahama is hoping Ghanaians will give him another chance to run the affairs of the country.

With the elections fast approaching, campaigning is also picking up.

Key in campaign activities is securing endorsements from high profile people and it seems President Akufo-Addo has received the endorsement of hiplife star, Sarkodie.

The award-winning musician just released a song with Kuami Eugene called “Happy Day.”

The song tells people to appreciate God and be happy for what they have.

However, it was Sarkodie’s second verse that delivered the seeming endorsement for President Akufo-Addo.

He talks about how he critiqued the government when there was dumsor and the inflation was going up.

However, if he has constant electricity and his children will benefit from Free education then “Nana should continue.” Nana here presumably referring to President Akufo-Addo who is also called Nana.

Watch the video below and pay attention to between 1:29 minutes and 1:47 minutes.

Sarkodie also ended the song by saying “The battle is still the Lord’s”, which is one of President Akufo-Addo’s most common speech sign outs.
