Thomas Partey has been an amazing player for Arsenal since joining the Premier League side on October 5, 2020, for £45 million from Atletico Madrid.
The 27-year-old made his debut as a substitute in Arsenal’s 1-0 loss Manchester City in the Premier League.

After he was voted Man of the Match in his full debut against Rapid Vienna in the UEFA Europa League, Partey made his full Premier League debut in Arsenal’s 1-0 loss to Leicester City at the Emirates.

Ahead of Arsenal’s Premier League game against Manchester United at Old Trafford, Partey was very confident that the Gunners will beat the Red Devils.
“Manchester United are a great team with great players and important players… If we do our work well, if we go in and fight for points, if we put a lot of pressure on them, we’ll be able to win,” he said.
True to his word, Arsenal beat Manchester United to record their first win at Old Trafford in the Premier League since 2006.

Partey and Elneny were the standout players in the game as they two Africans dominated the midfield to ensure that Arsenal had a comfortable win.
Thomas Partey’s performance against Manchester United earned him another Man of the Match award. He got 41.7% the votes by Arsenal fans, beating Elneny (30.6%), Gabriel (24.1%) and Bellerin (3.6%) to win the award.
Partey recorded 100% take-ons, 100% aerial duels and 93% passing accuracy. He also made 79 touches, 11 ball recoveries, 4 tackles, 2 interceptions, 1 clearance, and won 10 duels and 2 fouls.
According to Squawka Football, against Manchester United, Partey made the most ball recoveries (11) by an Arsenal player in a Premier League game this season. He also recorded the most duels (10) won by an Arsenal player in a Premier League game this season.

Thomas Partey was praised by former Manchester United captain Roy Keane for his excellent performance against the Red Devils.
“I thought he was outstanding,” Keane told Sky Sports when asked about Partey’s performance.
“We said before the game, this guy’s no mug, he’s played for a big club, he’s played in big competitions. We saw today when you watch a player live, that’s when you can judge a player. The more I look at him the more I wish he was in Man Utd’s midfield.”
“Big, strong, aggressive, obviously going back with Arsenal I had my battles with Patrick Vieira, I think this kid has got a chance of matching what Patrick used to do.”
“He’s big, he’s strong, he’s aggressive and he likes to pass it forward. He can deal with the ball, he looks comfortable on the ball, just small little details, composure, good first touch, retaining possession, that’s the name of the game,” Roy Keane added.
Some Ghanaian football fans also took to Twitter to praise Partey for his performance:
