When anyone is first introduced to the Monopoly Board Game, it seems like a fun way to pass some time. And you have to admit, there is some appeal to playing with huge stacks of cash, even if it isn’t real money. Now, what you might not know is that there is a dark side to this board game. It just has a way of ruining relationships. I mean, this game literally makes you wish your mom would just go to jail.

Now, before the game even begins, people start getting into fights over who gets the race car or the hat. Some people will even argue that a piece is their lucky piece and that they can’t win without it.

How does a relationship survive you landing on your boyfriend or girlfriend’s property on which they have built several hotels. That person is going to take all of your cash and leave you bankrupt all the while wearing a stupid smile on their face. When you’re playing Monopoly and someone volunteers to be the banker, you should be suspicious. Imagine if the banker picks a side … you should know you’re screwed. Let me give you an example, imagine if the Bank of Ghana was on your side, how do you lose at life?

When You Keep Getting Sent To Jail And Everyone Laughs

Sometimes, for some reason that you can’t explain, you keep getting sent to jail. You never pass go, and you never collect any cash. And the people that you thought were your friends—or even your family, all they do is keep laughing at you and your misfortune. Moments like that can really show you who’s real. I’m looking at you, little sis.

This game never ends. So, when it’s going badly for you, you should just brace yourself. Or you can spoil the impression people have of you and throw a tantrum in order to leave.
