The management of the University of Cape Coast has rescheduled the reopening date for the first semester of the 2020/2021 academic year.

“The First Semester of the 2020/2021 Academic Year will start from 9th January 2021, instead of the originally scheduled reopening date 14th November 2020,” the University indicated in a statement.

This decision was taken by the University following the directive of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for all universities to reopen in January 2021.

“…the academic year for new and continuing University students will commence from January 2021,” the President said in his 18th address to the nation on the country’s combat against COVID-19.

The University also indicated that the reopening date applies to both fresh and continuing students.

“The detailed Academic Calender for the 2020/2021 Academic Year will be announced in due course,” the University added.
