When a new footballer joins a football club, it is expected for them to sing a song of their choice in front of their teammates. This a tradition of many football clubs around the world including Premier League club Arsenal.
Thomas Partey joined Arsenal on transfer deadline day (October 5, 2020) after his £45 million release clause from Atletico Madrid was triggered by the Gunners.
As a new signing, Partey had to sing an initiation song and he decided to sing a popular Ghanaian gospel praise song.
He had his teammates join him in clapping while he sang the song.
Partey’s teammates including Aubameyang, David Luiz and Willian were enthused by his song and they hailed him for it.
