Thomas Partey Named Man Of The Match In Full Debut For Arsenal

Thomas Partey was named Arsenal’s Man of the Match in his full debut for the Gunners in their UEFA Europa League clash with Austria’s Rapid Vienna on Thursday night.

Partey won 66.2% of the votes, beating Gabriel (18.4%), Aubameyang (9.7%) and David Luiz (5.7%) to win the award.

Arsenal came from behind, with second-half goals from David Luiz and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, to win the game 2-1.

However, Partey was the best player for Arsenal as he dominated the midfield to ensure that his team was in control of the game.

He made 102 touches, completed 83 passes with a pass completion rate of 90.2%. He also won 10 out of 13 duels, gained possession 8 times, made 5 tackles, 1 interception and 1 clearance.

“He held the midfield by himself in the second half… He was fantastic and there’s much more to come,” Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta said about Partey after the game.
