Here’s How Ghanaians Reacted To Mohammed Kudus’ Injury On UCL Debut

Football fans in Ghana were left disappointed after Mohammed Kudus got injured six-minutes into Ajax’s Champions League game against Premier League champions, Liverpool at the Johan Cruyff Arena on Wednesday night.

Ghanaians, as well as, Ajax fans were expecting to watch the 20-year-old produce great performance in his first Champions League game for Ajax following his Man of the Match performance in Ajax’s 5-1 win over Heerenveen on Sunday. Kudus scored his first league goal and also provided two assists in that game.

Kudus started the game against Liverpool very well. However, an early pressure applied by Kudus on Fabinho led to a knee to knee collision which resulted in the midfielder’s injury. He couldn’t continue the game and was replaced by Quincy Promes.

Ajax, however, is yet to reveal the severity of Mohammed Kudus’ injury.

Kudus’ injury saddened a lot of football fans in Ghana and some, including renowned sports journalists, took to Twitter to express their disappointment.
