American Pop Star, Beyonce has made a public support for the End SARS protests which took a dark turn when officers of the Nigerian Arm reportedly opened fire on unarmed peaceful protesters killing at least 20.
Days ago, Nigerian musician, Tiwa Savage, publicly called on Beyonce to support the young Nigerians who are protesting against police brutality.
As it turns out, Beyonce had been moving in silence and working with youth groups to support the protesters.
“I am heartbroken to see the senseless brutality taking place in Nigeria. There has to be an end to SARS,” Beyonce said in an Instagram post which was her first public show of support for the Nigerian protesters.
“We have been working on partnerships with youth organizations to support those protesting for change. we are collaborating with coalitions to provide emergency healthcare, food and shelter,” she added.
“To our Nigerian brothers and sisters, we stand with you,” Beyonce wrote.
End SARS and anything else that comes after it.
