Kayserispor defender Joseph Attamah Larweh has reportedly tested positive for COVID-19.

According to Joy Sports, Attamah tested positive last Friday after the international break.

He was part of the Black Stars squad that played against Mali and Qatar in Turkey. He was handed a late call-up but did not feature in any of the games.

He is expected to isolate for 10 days and test negative before returning to training.

Attamah Larweh has now become the seventh Black Stars player to test positive for COVID-19 after the international friendlies.

Jordan Ayew, Bernard Mensah, Gideon Mensah, Kasim Nuhu, Caleb Ekuban and Joseph Aidoo are the other Black Stars players who have contracted the disease.

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has, however, stated that it adhered to all COVID-19 protocols during the Black Stars’ international friendly matches against Mali and Qatar.
