Ghanaians Shocked That A Jubilee House Security Officer Paid GHS 340K To Secure A Contract

A rather awkward story on social media today is about the Jubilee House Security Officer who allegedly paid GHS 340,000 to secure a road contract.

The woman security officer, who was unnamed in court documents, reportedly plaid the money to one Kingsford Painstil in 2019.

Kingsford had reportedly told her that he could assist her in acquiring a contract to execute a project that would make her rich.

“Few days after their meeting, the accused person contacted the complainant and told her that he was currently having a road contract to be awarded and he urgently needed an amount of GH₵300,000.00 to facilitate documentation.

“This will enable the contract to be awarded in her favor and the accused person also promised to hand over the contract documents to the complainant within three weeks,” Chief Inspector Ahiabor narrated at court.

He then got the complainant to pay an additional GHS 40,000 but the promise of the road contract never materialize.

While the story of a Jubilee House employee being a victim of fraud under the pretense of securing a road contract is a worthy news story on its own, most social media users were more concerned about how a security officer was able to raise such amount of money.

Y’all are curious cats online.
