The End SARS protests have added another layer to their protests.

It was online, they turned up on the streets and now they are attacking websites of government agencies and other institutions.

Since they got support from hacking group Anonymous, a number of websites have already been briefly taken down and sensitive data have been released online.

The Nigerian Central Bank, their equivalent of the Bank of Ghana, had it’s website briefly go offline.

Now a Nigerian retail bank, FirstBank Nigeria has also suffered the same fate.

The group attacked the bank’s website and it was off for sometime making it impossible for customers to undertake internet banking transactions.

The bank became a target after it was claimed that it was censoring accounts belonging to groups and individuals supporting the End SARS protests.

It was reportedly making it harder for them to receive and transfer funds needed to help others organize End SARS protest.

Though the bank’s website is now back online, Anonymous has made it clear that it will continue attacking websites belonging to Nigerian government agencies and institutions who are against the End SARS protests.
