Yesterday, one little Ghanaian girl got the opportunity to live out a what could pass as a dreamy life.

Living an entire day as the Australian High Commissioner to Ghana.

Rebecca got the opportunity to become the Australian High Commissioner to Ghana for a day as part of Girls Take Over initiative run by Plan International Ghana.

Rebecca had the full service treatment of a foreign ambassador in Ghana.

Perhaps she would work in the diplomatic service for Ghana when she grows up.

“I told Rebecca that I look forward to the day when I am old and retired in Australia and she as Ghana’s High Commissioner to Australia invites me to tea!” the real Australian High Commissioner to Ghana, Gregory Andrews said in a Facebook post.

Girls Take Over is an initiative in which decision-makers step aside to let girls take charge.

By occupying spaces and places where they are rarely seen or heard, girls and young women are empowered to demand action to find solutions to ensure that all girls can learn, lead, decide and thrive.
