Hello Filmmaker: Here’s All You Need To Know About World Health Organization Film Festival

The World Health Organization (WHO) will soon start accepting submissions for their world wide film festival.

If you’re a Ghanaian filmmaker, this is an opportunity to take your storytelling ability to the international market.

The Health for All Film Festival by WHO will focus on highlighting individuals and communities as champions for health and well-being.

Submissions will open on October 24, 2020 and close on January 30, 2021

The three main categories for the film festival are below:
Universal health coverage (UHC), with a focus on films about Mental Health, Noncommunicable diseases (NCDs) and other UHC stories linked to communicable diseases not part of emergencies.

Health emergencies, with films about COVID-19, Ebola, Disasters relief, Health in war-zones.

Better health and well-being, with films about environmental and social determinants of health, including nutrition for instance, as well as films about health promotion.

In each category WHO will accept any type, genre and style: short documentaries or fiction films (3 to 8 minutes long) short videos for social media or animation films (1 to 5 minutes long).
