Blackway

Ghanaian musician Blackway is scoring high musical points in the United States of America.

One of his songs “Heavyweight” has been chosen as the song of the season by the National Football League (NFL) in America.

This is part of the Inspire Change project supported by the NFL to fight against racism.

The NFL made the announcement yesterday with the support of JAY-Z’s Roc Nation.

This is obviously a major boost for Blackway and Koko who produced the song.

In 2018 Blackway collaborated with DJ duo Black Caviar on a track for The Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse soundtrack called ‘What’s Up Danger.’ It’s been viewed over 43 million times on YouTube alone.

Blackway, who is officially called Yaw Sintim-Misa, is the son of Ghanaian entertainer and television personality, Kwaku Sintim-Misa.
