NBA Finals: Los Angeles Lakers Win First NBA Title In 10 Years

The Los Angeles Lakers finally won another NBA title since their last Championship triumph in 2010.

The Lakers beat the Miami Heat 106-93 in Game 6 of the NBA Finals to complete a 4-5 series win and lift their 17th Larry O’Brien NBA Championship Trophy. The Lakers are now tied with the Boston Celtics for the most NBA Championships.

LeBron James of the Lakers also won the NBA Finals Most Valuable Player (MVP). He registered a triple double in Game 6 with 28 points, 14 rebounds and 10 assists.

The victory with the Lakers means LeBron has now won 4 NBA Championships and 4 NBA Finals MVP Awards. He has also become the first player in NBA history to win NBA Finals MVP with 3 different franchises.
