Codeine is a prescription pain medication used to treat mild to moderate pain. Codeine addiction usually begins with recreational use of Codeine-based cough products. Codeine is an opiate (sometimes called a narcotic). And according to Addiction Center many people don’t stop at codeine. They try to reach a better high by mixing it with other substances, including alcohol. Mixing Codeine with other substances can have dangerous side effects including depression and respiratory failure.

Caffeine

Coffee is part of some people’s daily routines, especially people who work for hours at a single task. For other physically-skilled workers energy drinks serve to provide the caffeine rush. However, high doses of caffeine may have unpleasant and even dangerous side effects which include anxiety, insomnia, digestive issues, muscle breakdown, a rapid heart rate and addiction.
