Ghanaians have joined Nigerians on social media to protest and demand the Nigerian government to ban all activities of a unit of the Nigerian Police known as Special Anti Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS).
The call by Nigerians comes after some members of SARS were accused of brutality.
Over the past weeks, videos have emerged online which show some SARS members physically abusing and harassing Nigerian citizens.
There have also been reports of the group shooting some Nigerians to death.
In Nigeria, some citizens have now taken the protests to the street. According to the BBC, the protesters, mostly young people, spent Thursday night in front of the government house in Alausa, Ikeja and refused to leave despite government officials speaking to them.
The hashtag #EndSARS is currently trending worldwide on social media and Ghanaians have joined the online protest.
Joey B, Efya, and Nikki Samonas are among Ghanaian celebrities who have joined the online protest.
Other Ghanaians also took to Twitter to support Nigerians in the fight against SARS:
