Today, it was announced that Nigerian super star, Davido, has signed a deal that makes him a shareholder of fast rising Ghanaian FinTech company, BitSika.

BitSika, which was founded by Atsu Davoh and Samuel Boahen, is a platform that allows people to make virtual money transactions across borders and also buy and sell BitCoin.

It uses blockchain technology to help users receive money instantly, from anyone, anywhere.

People can transact business in Ghana Cedis, Naira, CFA and USD on the platform.

Davido is joining the partnership of this firm with the full backing of his star power in a move which is aimed at getting more people to use the platform for their electronic money transactions.

Davido also came on board with a goodie bag for his fans.

In a move to get his global fanbase to patronize the app, Davido is promising to give away free money.

All his fans have to do is download the app, share their username with him, follow and tag BitSika on Instagram and post with the hashtag #Bitiska and #BitsikaDavido.

Hopefully, BitSika will gain general acceptance among Nigerians now that Davido is on board.

BitSika was one of the innovations that attracted Twitter’s Jack Dorsey when he visited the country last year and promised to move to Africa.
