Opoku Ware Beats Accra Aca And Boa Amponsem To Keep Hopes For Trophy Number 3 Alive

Opoku Ware Senior High School has become the first school to qualify for the grand finale of the 2020 National Science and Maths Quiz.

The school went into the semifinal contest against Accra Academy SHS and Boa Amponsem SHS.

At the end of the first round, it seemed Accra Academy had a chance of going into the final with it three-point lead over Opoku Ware and 13-point lead over Boa Amponsem.

However, the table turned after the second round when Opoku Ware took the lead with an 8-point lead.

By the fourth round, they had extended the lead to 17 points.

At the end of the contest, only Boa Amponsem had gained four more points in the final round.

After they were declared winner of the semi final contest, the Opoku Ware students sang their anthem.


Opoku Ware was anchored to victory by Richmond Kyei Marfo and Noble Epton Asamoah while Accra Academy was represented by Marcellinus Agbenyengah Awuye and Richmond Tsibu Darko. Benedict Nana Owusu and Franklin Apoh made up the Boa Amponsem team.
